What are the advantages of an in-house tooling facility? Clearly, the two most significant ones are economy and speed. Consider how much time and money is wasted when tooling is shipped back and forth between a mold maker and the molding plant. Better yet, what happens when your product delivery schedule has been affected because of delays in finalizing a production mold?
At Alliance PPC, you won’t be faced with these problems because we build our own tools. From prototype to production, it’s all done right here. We design, build, test, and measure for required specifications. The result is the speed and accuracy our customers can rely on to meet their aggressive timelines and cost expectations.

Advanced CAD/CAM Systems

Integrating computer generated product design with computer controlled machining stations is fundamental to precise tooling construction. APPC has several resident seats of Computer Aided Design software (Unigraphics, Pro-Engineer, Solidworks, etc.) that enable us to interface with the manufacturing software used to create high speed cutter path control at these machines. The result is an accurate, mirror image, three-dimensional mold built to our exact specifications.

Alliance PPC injection molds product for many customers who have moved tooling into APPC that was originally constructed by other sources. Our process for mold acceptance, repair, and overall capability is the same as if we had built it here. From major refurbishment , alteration or minor repair, our in-house tooling facility is able to provide the timely, accurate work needed to get our customer’s molds into defect -free production…..and keep them there.

The Advantages of In-house Tooling Capabilities

All The Right Tools

Alliance has the right complement of modern, computer-controlled machinery to built molds with speed and exceptional accuracy. The majority of these machines being CAD/CAM driven. Electronic engineering design files are transformed into a three dimensional geometric tool cutting paths. CAM or computer aided machining streamlines the mold manufacturing process providing rapid prototyping and final production mold .
Electronic discharge machines guided by CAD data cut intricate shapes otherwise impossible with conventional milling machines.

Accurate Molds in Less Time

Why wait? The Alliance PPC in-house mold building facility generates accurate molds in less time. From engineering design to prototyping and final production mold manufacturing, Alliance's rapid tool building capabilities will help cut the time-to-market of your product . Because design and production is efficiently done under one roof, mold testing and design modifications are implemented quickly without the delay, or confusion that can occur with out sourced molds.
