BAYER MATERIAL SCIENCE
Alliance Precision Plastics was founded in 1954 as a Tool and Die shop. Located in Rochester, New York, a high-tech industrial center and the acknowledged Imaging Capital of the World, Alliance provided stamping dies, trim dies and die castings to industrial manufacturing giants nationwide.
In the early sixties, Alliance acquired two injection molding machines that were primarily used for proofing molds. In time, these machines were put into limited production, molding medical parts.
Earning a reputation as a high-quality supplier, Alliance experienced rapid growth and diversification. In 1972 , the tooling and molding operations were consolidated into one facility on Trabold Road in Gates to further improve operating efficiency
In the early eighties, in an effort to expand its share of the plastic injection molding business, Alliance concentrated its expertise in designing and building injection molds and plastic injection molding. At the time, the company operated 10 molding presses primarily serving the medical and industrial markets.

The adopted strategies paid off. By 1990 Alliance had doubled the number of presses, and had made two additions to the building. Additional markets were added such as business office machines, consumer durables, and industrial tools. Assembly capabilities were also added during this time frame allowing
The Trabold Road facility has a combined 80,000 square feet of industrial floor space. It houses the engineering department , tooling design, complete mold building and mold maintenance shop, large tonnage injection molding and clean room.
The early days, when Alliance's main business was toolmaking. Although modern technology has improved the art of mold making, conventional milling and grinding machines still play an important part in toolmaking.
In June of 2002, Alliance purchased the Amplaco and Nylomold division from Renaissance Plastics. The acquisition boosted manufacturing capabilities to over 70 injection molding presses and features sophisticated contract assembly operations. Combined with Alliance's strength and experience in tooling and molding for the business machine, health care and consumer markets, the collective assets of Alliance Precision Plastics is now able to offer it's customers a wider range of plastics manufacturing and assembly services.

Alliance Precision Plastics has completed and received certification for a 4800 square foot, FDA Class 7 (10,000 ppm) clean room. This clean molding and assembly operation is primarily dedicated to the medical and electronic market needs.

The Elmore Road facility, with more than 80,000 square feet of space, features a wide range of injection molding equipment and sophisticated contract electromechanical assembly capabilities.
Over the years, as Alliance Precision Plastics grew from a small mold manufacturer to one of the leading plastic injection molders in the United States, the company philosophy has stayed the course. Since the first day Alliance opened for business, it has always believed in providing its customers with the very best quality and services possible. It is the driving force that has made Alliance PPC one of the premier custom injection molders, mold designers, mold builders and value added contract assemblers in the plastics industry. When precision, quality and service counts, you can expect Alliance to deliver.
